
If the reports are anything to go by, one might be forgiven for thinking that international R and B sensation, Akon, whose hits include 'smack that' and 'lonely', is shifting base to India. Indeed, after signing up to collaborate with Bollywood's Vishal Shekhar on the soundtrack of the upcoming King Khan starrer 'RA.One', the Senegalese star has gone ahead and recorded a track for composer Aadesh Srivastava's next album, 'Sound of Peace'.
The 'belly dancer' singer, who was in the country for a private concert, recorded the video of the track, titled 'one for the world…', at Mumbai's Filmistan Studios on Wednesday, the 8th of December, 2010. Akon also found time to meet with friend and 'RA.One' star Shah Rukh Khan, before flying out of the country soon.
Akon is not the only star on the album, though. According to Srivastava, the album, which he says is his appeal for world peace, also features such celebrated names Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ustad Rashid Khan, violin maestro Kala Ramnath, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, whose sixty members Aadesh recorded with, back in December 2009 at London's Abbey Road.
Also making an appearance on the album is the Big B himself, who has sung a track for Aadesh. Incidentally, Srivastava also happens to be a personal favourite of Bachchan Sr…
