A&E viewers may not be that into watching David Hasselhoff, but we doubt the actor's worried; he's already got a new job lined up in Britain.
A week after the actor's reality show, “The Hasselhoffs,” was pulled from the air after just one night comes news that the former “Baywatch” star has landed Piers Morgan’s old gig on “Britain’s Got Talent.” (‘Cause, you know, Morgan’s with us now.)
A publicist for the actor has confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Hoff will indeed be headed across the pond to judge the U.K. series. Last week, EW pointed out that he was in talks for the job, so apparently whatever scheduling problems that were standing in Hoff’s way have been worked out.
The 58-year-old actor, who was once a judge on “America’s Got Talent” as well, snagged one of two open spots, with the other going to Brit comedian Michael McIntyre. Amanda Holden will remain on the judges panel, and Simon Cowell will still be on hand to lend his view during the live portions of the program.
Piers Morgan, meanwhile, isn't sure how to react to the news. "Should I feel amused, furious, thrilled or suicidal that The Hoff is replacing me on Britain's Got Talent?" he tweeted earlier, and it looks like he's settled on amused.
"Still chuckling over The Hoff and Michael McIntyre doing BGT," he wrote. "Superbly mischievous casting by Mr Cowell. Will be very very funny to watch."
