Anne Hathaway invites school choir to sing at Oscars

Hollywood beauty Anne Hathaway gave the perfect Christmas gift to the members of a school choir by inviting them to perform at Hollywood's biggest gala, the Academy awards.

Students of New York City's PS 22 school were thrilled when the actress made a surprise appearance at their Annual Winter Concert. But they didn't know that the biggest surprise was yet to come.

The 28-year-old got on stage during the concert and announced that the entire choir would be performing at the Academy Awards in February, reported New York Post online.

Unsurprisingly, the students were overwhelmed with excitement at the news and couldn't stop clapping and cheering.

The actress along with James Franco will host the 83rd Academy Awards that will be held on February 27 next year in Los Angeles.

The actors will be the youngest hosts of the ceremony for decades, as the show's producers look to attract a new generation of viewers to the live telecast.
